Athlete safety comes first.
Safety, respectful coaching and safeguarding are part of the academy’s training environment, not separate from it.
WHAT FAMILIES CAN EXPECT
Clear standards. Responsible supervision.
Technical development never takes priority over athlete safety and welfare.
Athletes and families should expect clear behavioral standards, responsible supervision, respectful coaching, established reporting pathways and range-safety expectations that apply consistently.
Team Shooting Stars coaches complete the background screening and SafeSport training required for their roles within the USA Shooting Certified Training Center environment.
Our athlete-protection and child-safeguarding practices are designed to align with USA Shooting SafeSport requirements and the ISSF safeguarding framework.

Range safety
Safe equipment handling, range commands, attention to surroundings and respect for procedures are taught and reinforced every day.
Respectful coaching
Athletes are entitled to dignity, respect and a training environment free from bullying, harassment, hazing, intimidation, discrimination and abusive coaching behavior.
Shared responsibility
Safeguarding involves coaches, leaders, volunteers, parents, officials and athletes. Everyone has a role in maintaining the environment.
REPORT A CONCERN
Use the channel appropriate to the concern.
For immediate danger, call 911. Concerns involving abuse or misconduct within the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Movement may be reported to the U.S. Center for SafeSport. Other concerns may also be reported to USA Shooting or to Team Shooting Stars.
Contacting Team Shooting Stars does not replace reports that must be made directly to law enforcement, child-protection authorities or the U.S. Center for SafeSport where required.
