ADAPTIVE & PARA SHOOTING
Coaching adapts to the athlete.
We welcome conversations with athletes and families exploring adaptive or Para precision shooting.
Begin with the athlete, not a label.
For some athletes with physical disabilities, positions, equipment and training structures can be adapted to support participation in precision shooting.
Every athlete’s needs, experience and goals are different. An initial conversation and visit help us understand the practical needs and determine whether the academy can support the athlete appropriately.
Training and development
Adaptive athletes follow the same underlying development principles as other academy athletes: safety, technical understanding, deliberate practice, reflection, independence and responsible competition. Positioning aids, equipment adaptations or changes to practice structure may be considered where appropriate and available.
PARA PATHWAY
Classification is handled by the governing bodies.
Para classification determines eligibility and competition class within the formal Para sport structure. Team Shooting Stars does not make classification decisions.
For current rules and the international pathway, visit World Shooting Para Sport.
Accessible parking, entry, restrooms and seating are available at the airgun facility. If you have an additional access or accommodation question, include a brief note when you contact us. Please do not send medical records through the website form.
