Personal Bio

Dave is a Level 3 Rifle Coach

Dave grew up in an Air Force family, moving frequently around the country. He moved to the Dallas area when he graduated from M.I.T., and has lived in the area ever since.

Married with no children and a beagle, Dave is a Mechanical Engineer and registered Professional Engineer.

Shooting Bio

Dave was introduced to competitive shooting through a PE pistol class at M.I.T. He was asked to try out for the team, where he competed for 4 years, earning both Pistol and Air Pistol All-American Awards.

After graduation, he competed for several years before taking almost ten years off to race sports cars, winning the SCCA GT5 National Championship in 1988.

Returning to shooting, Dave focused on the International Rapid Fire pistol event, competing on a national level through the 2004 Olympic tryouts. He also found time to earn his Distinguished Pistol Badge in 1997.

His competitive efforts are now spent shooting NRA Service Rifle matches, where he currently holds an Expert classification. In addition to his extensive pistol expertise, Dave is also a USA Shooting Level 3 Rifle Coach.
