Profile

Matt is an 18 year old Eagle Scout. He began shooting with the Shooting Stars in 2009 which was his first serious experience in learning to shoot. He joined the Shooting Stars because of Boy Scouts and enjoyed going to shoot.

He has won a Regional Championship in air rifle and the Texas State Air Rifle Championship for the J1 age group.

“The sport means a lot to me. Without shooting I wouldn’t be an individual, I wouldn’t have something I can be proud of myself for. Olympic style shooting is a sport where I am challenged both on the range and off the range to better myself mentally. My ultimate goal is to win gold at the Olympic Games.”
