Jack Milchanowski

Profile

Jack began his pistol shooting with competitive Air Pistol and 50m Free Pistol in August of 2008.  He is a member of U.S.A. Archery, NRA, and U.S.A. Shooting. The majority of his vast experience with shooting has come from archery which is extremely similar to pistol shooting; especially on the mental training side of the equation.

While with U.S.A. Archery he spent several years as the South Director for the Jr. Olympic Archery Development program.  He also was on an endowment fund committee of three people for U.S.A. Archery (then NAA) for many years.  He also became an official judge with U.S.A. Archery and worked at matches for over twenty years.  For a little over half the twenty years as an official he was normally selected to be what was called the Director of Shooting who was responsible to run the official timing and pace of the matches and to help solve problems that would occur through the help of the additional line judges.  He ran approximately twenty U.S. Intercollegiate National Championships (similar to NCAA-all schools were not an official varsity sport) both indoor and outdoor.

Jack’s coaching strengths are in preparing athletes for the mental side of shooting and offers his help to any who ask for it.
